The 3500 TC is a flagship model from Carmix. This smart mobile concrete batching plant features an innovative weighing system, Concrete-Mate, which is a mix design manager equipped with the ‘RMC Plant standard level’ management software.

The Concrete-Mate system uses four sensors in the mixing unit, ensuring a high quality concrete mix that complies with international concrete production standards (UNI 206-1, ASTM, ACI, etc) and total control over production costs. Thanks to this system, the Carmix 3500 TC can guarantee maximum control, consistent performance, high quality standards, work certification and worksite cost monitoring.

Carmix relies on continuous design and technological development to offer a complete range of self-loading concrete mixers, off-road mobile concrete batching plants and other tools that enable high quality concrete to be produced and guarantee work efficiency on the jobsite. For example, using the 3500 TC in combination with the Carmix Bagger steel mini-silo enhances machine productivity, thus reducing cement-loading time by up to 50% with zero environmental impact. With such solutions and innovative tools, Carmix said it can guarantee a 20-25% reduction in running costs and project lead times.

The new Carmix Bagger from Metalgalante is a mini silo that can help speed up cement loading process and ensure high accuracy of the mix design. It is compatible with all Carmix machines, from large off-road mobile concrete batching plants such as Carmix 3500 TC, to small self-loading concrete mixers like the new Carmix 45FX.

\n\n

With a capacity of 3 cu m, the Carmix Bagger incorporates a load-cell container that weighs the quantity of materials loaded. Thanks to this special construction, both normal-sized cement bags and big bags may be used. After loading, a feed screw transfers the content into a Carmix batching plant. The whole process is fully autonomous, said Metalgalante. Each operation is controlled by a hydraulic motor/actuator, fed by an engine. As a result, the Carmix Bagger can be used on jobsites where no electric power is available.

\n\n

Some features of the Carmix Bagger are designed to simplify the operators’ work, leading to greater productivity and less costs. Metalgalante added that the silo can be easily carried by a forklift, and thanks to its compact size, it only takes up half a 20-box container, minimising shipping costs.

\n\n

In addition, the use of cement big bags makes the work more environment-friendly reducing dust to a minimum, and it cuts the operating costs for bag disposal. Loading the big bags directly also contributes to reducing raw material costs and it raises productivity, as Carmix Bagger can contain up to three 1-cu-m big bags on each cycle.

The new Carmix 45FX self-loading concrete mixer from Metalgalante features a user-friendly driving system, compact size (4.50 m high x 7.750 m long) and 4x4x4 steering, allowing the machine to move around in limited spaces and travel easily on bumpy and rough roads.

\n\n

It has a drum capacity of 6,100 l, with an output capacity of 4.5 cu m. Internally, a system composed of a double mixing screw and a drum with hydraulic motor rotation and planetary gearbox can produce a homogeneous and compact mix. An automatic hydraulic loading system contributes to this result: with a large 600-l loading capacity bucket, it loads aggregates with a proper quantity into the drum without wasting material.

\n\n

The Carmix 45 FX is also designed with a spacious cab featuring a ROPS/FOPS structure, and control and block valves to ensure maximum safety for the operator. The seat is reversible with automatic inversion of the flow circuit, thus providing an excellent visibility on the jobsite.

\n\n

In addition, the load cells weighing system enables the Carmix 45FX to measure, weigh and programme any material to create a perfect mix on site. Such a process is possible thanks to the four load cells sensors, controlled by an on-board programmable computer, placed at the bottom of the drum in order to work as weight sensors precisely where the mixing takes place (RMC Plant standard level technology). Compared with systems using pressure sensors on the shovel, this system is said to allow direct control of elements where the mix is made (including the actual weight of water for W/C ratio optimisation), higher accuracy, and 3% to 5% weight deviation like in the most sophisticated concrete plants and the verification of finished product.
