The Redline range from Dynapac covers the essential machines for road construction applications, ideal for customers who need productive and cost-efficient solutions.

Built on three key pillars – reliability, efficiency and durability (RED) – the Redline range comprises the DRS120D soil roller, DRA30 small tandem roller, DRA90 double drum vibratory roller, DRF25-70C tracked asphalt paver and DRF25-60W wheeled asphalt paver.

\n\n

“We have successfully introduced the Redline brand into the Southeast Asia markets since 2021,” said Ihab Eldessouky, regional general manager at Dynapac Asia Pacific. “With large fleets already hitting the ground, Redline is contributing to the infrastructure development in the region, building airports, roads, bridges, seaports and our large soil rollers are actively used in the mining industry.”

Designed with smart, user-friendly features, the Redline equipment balances productivity and technology, without compromising on results. “The DRF25-70C and DRF25-60W pavers are workhorses for all kinds of jobsites up to 9 m. With its smart and clean design, it allows operators to focus on the job,” explained Mr Eldessouky. “Our Redline rollers are equipped with a patented eccentric system that ensures highly efficient and productive compaction.”

All the Redline pavers and rollers feature an intelligent telematics system – the Dyn@link tool. This tool allows customers to monitor and manage the usage of their machine fleet optimally. By reducing maintenance costs, it saves time and money. With a dependable aftermarket support, tailor-made trainings, and solutions to fit every need, the Redline range is suitable for customers looking to maximise efficiency and operational profits.

Dynapac Asia Pacific has concluded the second edition of its Paving MasterClass, which took place on 1 November 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand. This exclusive event was held in collaboration with Pin Siam Co Ltd, with approximately 170 operators in attendance.

\n\n

A Dynapac initiative for construction machinery operators, the company said the goal is to create a cohesive environment where operators can efficiently and effectively operate Dynapac equipment, with the highest safety standards.

\n\n

The Paving MasterClass event focused on the advance training of Dynapac equipment and provided a refresher course on best practice guidelines. Attendees were also given the opportunity to demo the Dynapac SD2500CS paver and network with fellow industry professionals.

\n\n

“We are very excited to resume our Paving MasterClass after the pandemic and are thankful for the opportunity to put together this event with Pin Siam,” commented Ihab Eldessouky, regional general manager of Dynapac Asia Pacific. “Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has never been more prominent on our regional agenda than it is today. We believe in equipping our operators with the right skills and safety practices.

\n\n

“We hope to create an exclusive network to connect operators across Thailand and to provide a cohesive environment to support and celebrate what they do. We want this event to be a platform where they can network within the community, improve and share knowledge.”

Mr Eldessouky added, “We believe this hands-on experience will empower our operators to learn the different features of our paving equipment; to realise the full potential of Dynapac pavers and how we (Dynapac) can support our operators in building safe roads for the Thai community.”

Dynapac highlighted that, alongside the guidance of its certified trainers, this event aims to create a tight-knit community for Dynapac operators, who play a key role as the driver of its paver machines.

As a flagship and best-selling oscillatory roller within its range, the Dynapac CO5200 VI is a high-capacity machine with a 11.7-t operating weight and a drum width of 1,950 mm. It is ideal for applications such as bridge compaction, compaction near foundations, houses or other concrete structures.

\n\n

The CO5200 VI has all the features found in the 10-12.5-t generation VI rollers, like an active front drum steering with 520 mm offset, an asymmetric spacious, noise reducing cab and a convenient full seat rotation that makes limitations caused by forwards and backwards movement a thing of the past. A user-friendly instrument panel with 7-in full colour touch display provides an optimal overview of all functions and surroundings.

\n\n

The machine comes with a full back up consisting of dual sprinkler bars on each drum. These are driven by two separate pumps and can easily be chosen via the display. The advantage for operators is that they always have a back-up, complete with an extra pump and an extra complete set of clean sprinkler nozzles connected to each pump.

\n\n

Reliability is further enhanced by a three-step filtering system, which includes a strainer in the fill hole, a filter located close to the pump, and a strainer on each nozzle. An automatic water control, sprinkler-timer, and full flow sprinkler button are also standard on the CO5200 VI.

\n\n

For cold-region areas, anti-freeze can easily be added to the sprinkler system to protect it from freezing. Thanks to the high-placed drum scrapers, cleaning and adjustments are reduced due to their distance from asphalt debris.

\n\n

All controls such as displays, levers and switches seamlessly follow the slideable and rotateable operator station. Additional benefits include easy-to-reach maintenance points, lubrication-free articulated joint and pistons, as well as a back-up camera for an optimal backwards view. A special focus on maximum ergonomics ensures greater comfort even after a long working day.

\n\n

In addition, Dynapac provides a wide range of compaction control and documentation systems. Among these is an Eco-mode that constantly keeps the engine rpm as low as possible, thus reducing noise levels and enabling a lower fuel consumption by 15%.

\n\n

For users in North America, Dynapac offers a 130-hp T4f Cummins QSF 3.8 engine, while a 130-hp Stage V Cummins 3.8 engine is for the EU market. The 140-hp Stage IIIA Cummins 3.8 engine is offered to regions that do not yet have ultra-low sulphur fuels. Biodegradable hydraulic oil is available as an option.

\n\n

To prevent the wearing of the drum shell, Dynapac has chosen the Hardox 450 steel with an extra 50 Brinell hardness of over 400 grade. The company said the Hardox 450 is hardened not only on the surface but all the way through the material. This extra process provides significantly better dent and abrasion resistance. This and the fact that the oscillation drum doesn’t vibrate but instead kneads the material all contribute to a longer drum life and extended hours of hassle-free operation.

\n\n

The difficulties caused by the eventual changing of the drive belts (in the drum) was solved with the introduction of service covers that made it easy to reach within the drum for optimal access. The oscillation drum has four bolted service covers that makes reaching for the timing belts faster and more convenient. Additionally, every oscillation machine comes with a special included timing tool, which together with other handy features, enables maintenance crews to change the timing belt in just two hours.
