The 28th edition of International Construction Week (ICW) and the fourth edition of International Building and Construction Exhibition (BuildXpo Malaysia) will take place from 10 to 12 November 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur.

\n\n

This year’s event is anchored by the theme ‘Beyond Limits’ and the positioning tagline ‘The Industry Platform for Knowledge, Innovation and Growth’. For the first time, it will be held in conjunction with Glasstech Asia & Fenestration Asia (GAFA) 2026.

\n\n

Building on last year’s success with more than 15,000 trade visitors, 210 exhibitors from 11 countries and RM1.41 billion in projected business transactions, the 2026 edition is targeting 250 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, 17,000 trade visitors and RM1.5 billion in projected trade value.

\n\n

“When we launched ICW & BuildXpo Malaysia 2026 earlier this year, we set out an ambition for the industry to go ‘Beyond Limits’ – to move beyond conventional approaches, embrace innovation and strengthen collaboration,” said Sr Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar, chief executive of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, the host of ICW.

\n\n

“But transformation cannot happen through policy or technology alone. It requires people who are willing to learn, organisations that are prepared to adapt, and an industry that is willing to share knowledge and collaborate across traditional boundaries. This is where ICW & BuildXpo Malaysia has an important role to play. It provides a platform where the industry’s aspirations, ideas, technologies and capabilities can come together, and where we can move beyond discussing transformation to explore how it can be implemented in practice.”

Expanded programme

\n\n

ICW & BuildXpo Malaysia 2026 will place a stronger emphasis on knowledge sharing, technical excellence and industry collaboration through an expanded programme of conferences, seminars and new visitor experiences.

\n\n

The programme will feature the AsiaConstruct Conference, BAMBUilds’26 Talk & Dialogue, Global Opportunities Seminar, and Impact Change Through Construction (ICTC) Conference, alongside The Build Series, a curated platform for technical insights, innovation showcases and thought leadership discussions. New features, including Build ProPass and Build360, will further connect conferences, exhibitions, business opportunities and professional development into a more integrated visitor experience.

“This year, we are putting even greater emphasis on the experience of learning, discovering and engaging, to make every visit to ICW & BuildXpo Malaysia more purposeful and valuable,” said Richard Teo, executive chairman of Qube Integrated Malaysia, which organises BuildXpo Malaysia, the official trade show of ICW.

\n\n

“We are [also] bringing together a strong mix of conferences and seminars covering different dimensions of the construction industry, [demonstrating how] ICW is no longer simply about what is being built today; it is increasingly about how we will build tomorrow – the technologies we adopt, the skills we develop, the ideas we exchange, and the partnerships we create.”

\n\n

“Ultimately, the success of ICW & BuildXpo Malaysia should not be measured only in numbers. It should be measured by the connections made, the technologies discovered, the knowledge exchanged, the partnerships formed and, most importantly, the progress that follows after everyone leaves MITEC,” added Mr Teo.

\n\n

The co-located GAFA 2026, organised by MMI Asia Pte Ltd, will bring specialised expertise in glass, facades and building envelope technologies into the wider construction ecosystem, with more than 250 exhibitors, 5,000 visitors, participation from 50 countries and regions, 300 international hosted buyers and 50 speakers expected.

\n\n

What’s more, ICW & BuildXpo Malaysia 2026 will also feature Quest Day 2026, technical visits to Carcosa Seri Negara, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, and Pos Malaysia Headquarters Kuala Lumpur, the CIDB-CLPM-ISOSB 2nd ASEAN Crane Lifting Planning Competition, and the MSSA Open Ideas Competition.

\n\n

The event builds on the momentum of ICW Borneo 2026 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, which attracted more than 1,000 visitors, further strengthening ICW‘s role in connecting construction innovation, business opportunities and industry collaboration across Malaysia.
