o SkyParc @ Dawson, Design Link Architects Pte Ltd
Envisioned as a “Housing in a Park”, SkyParc@Dawson reimagines a typology of skyrise greenery that adds to the lexicon of high-rise residential building. Starting from the Eco-corridor to the residential roof gardens, SkyParc@Dawson features a series of distinctive ascending landscape spaces that encourage social bonding and biophilia among the community.
At SkyParc @ Dawson, nature is celebrated at every turn. Arriving at the precinct, residents and visitors are greeted by a grand drop-off set against the backdrop of the multistorey carpark with its layered planters. Arriving from the eco-corridor, residents and visitors are greeted by the lush foliage of the conserved mature trees. Throughout the development, elements of nature are featured - with mosaic walls, plaques and sculptures featuring native flora and fauna located at the sky terraces, void decks, eco-corridors and playground.
Amidst stringent requirements for public housing, the Jury commends SkyParc@Dawson for its efforts at being able to synergize landscape and views on multiple levels through thoughtful layered composition. The façade treatment is restrained and focused, allowing differentiated stack heights and roof terraces which resulted to foreground open green spaces. This melding of built green areas complemented the larger eco-corridor at Margaret Drive, stitching the development back to site through landscape.
