Teledyne FLIR OEM, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, has launched Prism™ Supervisor, the newest addition to its Prism embedded software ecosystem. This software integrates drone autopilot flight control with real-time, AI-powered edge computing to enhance mission safety, efficiency, and performance, advancing the capabilities of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

\n\n

Prism Supervisor software provides mission planners with a flexible programming framework and software development kit (SDK) for creating custom, complex mission scenarios. During flight, it dynamically adjusts autopilot functions in real time, generating mission segments and flight plans on the fly to reduce operator workload and enhance mission success. For instance, a UAV equipped with Prism Supervisor can autonomously detect a human or threat during a search mission, circle the target, and alert the operator.

Prism Supervisor enhances operator experience with an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) for mission planning, real-time visualization, and execution. Available on desktop and mobile platforms—including Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android—the software streams and records high-frame-rate video, path visualization, and metadata. It also enables collaborative behaviours and synchronized operations among multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Expanding Teledyne FLIR’s Prism digital ecosystem, Prism Supervisor leverages advanced AI and image processing to support object detection, tracking, and computational imaging on low-power processors. This improves UAS mission performance while reducing development costs.

Teledyne FLIR will showcase its new, signature security product portfolio for perimeter protection at IFSEC International 2022, from 17-19, May at ExCel London. Attendees who visit Teledyne FLIR in stand IF3030 will see a demo of the FLIR counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) as well as a variety of intelligent transportation solutions (ITS). This will be FLIR’s first IFSEC as a Teledyne company.

Teledyne FLIR provides field-proven solutions that detect intruders, whether they walk on the ground or fly in the sky. Built to detect, locate, identify, track, and mitigate both ground-based and aerial threats, the FLIR C-UAS solution will be on full display at IFSEC. The platform includes long-range drone detection radars, such as the Ranger R20SS-3D or the R8SS-3D; pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ), multi-sensor systems, such as the Ranger HDC MS; Cameleon command and control software; and third-party radio frequency systems and effectors. The FLIR C-UAS offering is a powerful addition to any perimeter system where attacks from adversarial drones are a risk and concern.

For over 40 years, Teledyne FLIR has been one of the leading manufacturers in thermal technologies, setting the standard for quality, performance and reliability and being the first to introduce thermal cameras to the commercial security sector. At IFSEC 2022, Teledyne FLIR will showcase its new FLIR FH-Series multispectral cameras that integrate 4K visible imaging with a thermal sensor offering market-leading sensitivity. The FH-Series ID features on-board FLIR Virtual Barrier convolutional neural network (CNN) analytics for intrusion detection and resilience against false alarms.

The company will also debut its FLIR R-Series radars to the IFSEC audience, its first ground security commercial radars launched in the Fall of 2021. R-Series radars detect threats faster and map human and vehicular movement, giving security operators more time to react to intrusion activity and greater situational awareness. Available in two models, the R-290 radar is compliant with United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines, and the R-190 is Conformité Européenne (CE)-compliant for Europe. When customers integrate R-Series radars with the FLIR DX-Series PTZ camera, they gain a robust solution that expands intrusion detection beyond the fence line, streamlines target tracking, and enables video verification of alerts.

The FLIR TrafiData counts and classifies vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians as well as travel time for comprehensive congestion analysis.

Designed for use in demanding indoor and outdoor environments, the new FLIR Quasar Premium Mini-Dome and Quasar Premium Bullet deliver the forensic image quality, tight integration, and advanced cybersecurity features required for critical infrastructure sites, remote facilities, or large areas requiring close monitoring.

The new Quasar Premium lineup offers the highest quality video surveillance in the product family, delivering optimal performance for forensic review. The FLIR Quasar Premium Mini-Dome is available with 5MP HD or 4K Ultra-HD resolutions and the FLIR Quasar Premium Bullet series is available with 4MP Quad HD and 4K Ultra-HD resolutions, coupled with a variety of lens options for extended range performance for perimeter security. Discreet Monitoring with FLIR Quasar Premium Mini-Dome Series

\n\n

The versatile FLIR Quasar Premium Mini-Dome series is IP66 rated for dust and waterproof protection and can be ceiling- or wall-mounted in minutes. In no-light conditions, the unit can provide up to 40 meters of visibility via on-board near-infrared illumination. Improved three-shutter wide dynamic range (WDR) (130db) offers optimal light balance in scenarios with both light and dark spots. The camera has an IK10 vandal-proof rating and is available with an optional smoke bubble accessory used to obscure camera position.

FLIR Quasar Premium Bullet Series Provides Longer Range in Rugged Conditions

\n\n

The FLIR Quasar™ Premium Bullet series is also IK10 vandal-proof and designed to be permanently installed, typically pole-mounted, for video surveillance. It covers up to 60 meters of visibility via on-board near-infrared Illumination and also features three-shutter WDR (130db). The camera is IP67 rated for dustproof and waterproof protection, while offering extended operating temperature range from -40 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for use in extreme conditions.

\n\n

Improved Security Without Sacrificing Flexibility

\n\n

Similar to other Quasar products, the Quasar Premium Bullet and Premium Mini-Dome editions are National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant and include industry standard security protocols and additional cybersecurity enhancements. These features include unique protection from log-in attacks, hardware and software authentication, and encrypted communication to help keep facilities safe from cyber threats. They maintain open platform compatibility and can be used with a large variety of third-party VMS solutions or FLIR United VMS. They also include bi-directional audio and operator control of input/output devices for remote monitoring and responding to events.

\n\n

To further lower the cost of ownership and ease of installation, the cameras include the FLIR accessory and mounting ecosystem. The cameras support the 1GB network for better streaming and reduced bandwidth issues. Both cameras also include customized video flow options for live and recorded video, including frames-per-second output adjustment and encoding for extra streams.
